Terms & Conditions: Note to Purchaser: Please review your order carefully to ensure accuracy. We can help you select equipment and parts, but only on the condition that you represent them. We cannot guarantee size or application. This is why it's crucial to consult with a local, licensed contractor to determine precisely what your project requires. By doing so, you take control of your project and ensure its success.
Please refer to our return policy for information on returning unneeded purchases.
Payment: We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and cash. Wire transfer and ACH qualify for a 2% discount upon approval. All purchases subject to tax are the buyer's responsibility.
Shipping
Most items ship either the same business day if ordered before 11 AM Central Time or the next business day. We will contact you if there is any delay with your order.
Please be aware that you or your designated agent must be present to receive the shipment, unless the shipment is via USPS. It is crucial to open all boxes and inspect the entire shipment upon arrival. Please note any damages found before accepting the shipment. Minor dents and dings may occur during shipment; these will not affect the equipment's operation, but must be noted upon receipt to facilitate filing a damage claim. If a shipment is accepted without noting damage, and damage is discovered later, you will not be able to claim shipping damage. If you are unable to be present at the time of delivery, it is your responsibility to ensure that your agent opens and inspects the shipment upon arrival.
Returns
* **Full Refund:** Your purchase has been paid for, not packaged up, nor shipped.
* **96% Refund:** Your purchase has been paid for, packaged up, but not shipped.
* **85% Refund less shipping costs:** Your purchase has been paid for, packaged up, and shipped to you, and not unpacked by you.
* **Variable or no Refund:** The Purchase has been accepted and unpacked by you. Please send items back for evaluation of any problems; a fair refund will be given. If items show evidence of tampering, have been broken, or have been installed, no refund will be given. Please see the shipping section for products damaged upon arrival.
* No returns on special orders will be accepted.
* No returns will be accepted beyond 30 days after the date of purchase.
* Return shipping is paid by the customer.
* All items must be returned to the same warehouse from which they originated.
* No returns will be accepted unless all items are returned in their original, unaltered packaging.
* Please do not write on the packaging; please use labels instead.
Warranty: Please check with the individual manufacturers for warranty information, as each manufacturer has different warranty terms. Your local contractor can assist with labor and parts warranty issues. Geothermal Products does not offer a labor warranty; please be aware of the manufacturer's labor allowance warranty requirements before ordering. Geothermal Products is not liable for costs or expenses incurred by you due to a malfunction of any equipment or part sold on our site. We will not compensate you for any labor costs, including those related to equipment or part malfunctions. Geothermal Products can handle any part exchanges you need, provided you have proof of installation and a diagnostic invoice from a licensed HVAC contractor. Under no circumstances will Geothermal Products replace a whole system or component (such as condensers, air handlers, coils, and furnaces) if any equipment or part fails during installation or does not operate after installation. All warranty parts must be returned at your expense for warranty credit processing. Failure to return parts within 30 days will result in a cancelled warranty claim.
All warranties are exclusively through the manufacturer. Geothermal Products will supply parts covered by the manufacturer's warranty. All equipment needs to be registered with the manufacturer to receive the full, limited, and conditional warranties. If a system is not registered, units will only receive the minimum base warranty offered by the manufacturer. All equipment sold on our site is specifically designed for installation by a professional, licensed HVAC contractor. Warranties are based on each manufacturer's requirements, and at the manufacturer's option, warranties will be null and void if the installation was not installed in a professional like manner.
Proof of professional-like installation will be required for Geothermal Products to process your parts warranty. Please note that refrigerant is not covered under most warranties. Processing and postage fees will apply, as most manufacturers do not cover shipping in their warranties.

These practices may be modified, but any changes will be posted and will only apply to future activities and information, not retroactively. Legal: Any dispute or difference arising out of or in connection with this contract/purchase shall be determined by the appointment of a single arbitrator in Iowa to be agreed between the parties, or failing agreement within fourteen days, after either party has given to the other a written request to concur in the appointment of an arbitrator, by an arbitrator to be appointed by the president or a vice president of the nearest office of The American Arbitration Association to Des Moines, Iowa. Any dispute or difference arising out of or in connection with this contract/purchase will be subject to the jurisdiction of Ankeny, Iowa, where the main office of Geothermal Products is located. The appointed arbitrator must practice within this jurisdiction, and the entire arbitration process must happen within this jurisdiction. No other jurisdiction suits, mediations, or arbitrations will be entertained by Geothermal Products. The Purchaser agrees to these terms upon finalizing the purchase.
EPA Regulations: Purchaser acknowledges and understands that only an EPA-certified contractor can handle refrigerant and charge the AC equipment. We strongly encourage that you have your equipment installed by a local licensed contractor. All work must comply with local and state building codes. Geothermal Products accepts no liability for equipment before and after the installation process. Pictures. Please note that not all products are exactly as pictured.
